Elizabeth L. Reede, Co-Founder/CEO
Elizabeth was most recently the Founder of reede/art projects llc, an arts consulting business focused on art historical research and writing, independent curating, and art advisory. Prior to forming r/ap, Elizabeth was an Assistant Curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art. She joined MoMA in 1996 and throughout her tenure held a variety of curatorial and managerial positions in the Painting and Sculpture Department. Elizabeth holds a BA from Wellesley in Art History and History, an MBA in Finance and Management Policy from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and an MA from the Graduate Program in the History of Art at Williams College.
Rob Hamwee, Co-Founder; CEO, New Mountain Finance and Managing Director, New Mountain Capital, LLC
Robert A. Hamwee, Managing Director, joined New Mountain in 2008. Rob is primarily dedicated to New Mountain Finance Corporation and serves as its CEO and President. Prior to coming to New Mountain, he was President of GSC Group, where he was responsible for managing GSC’s control distressed debt funds. He was with Greenwich Street Capital Partners, the predecessor to GSC, from 1994 to 1999.
Prior to that, Rob was with The Blackstone Group, from 1992 to 1994, where he worked on a wide range of assignments in the Restructuring and Merchant Banking Departments. He has chaired numerous creditor committees and bank steering groups, and has been a lead director for many corporate boards, including Purina Mills, Envirosource, and Viasystems. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan with a BBA degree in Finance and Accounting in 1992.
Chelsea Menzies, Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Before joining the Boulevard team, Chelsea was most recently the Director of Business Development for Gil Walsh Interiors, a high-end multi-million dollar residential interior design firm, where she was responsible for the execution of the company’s marketing, advertising and PR efforts. Prior to this, as Marketing & Client Services Manager, she developed and maintained client and partner relationships, as well as oversaw various high-level marketing initiatives at a leading SaaS-provider of Content Management, Engagement and Monetization solutions. Chelsea is also the Co-Head Writer for Mutasian Entertainment, LLC and authored a children’s book for MUTASIA’s educational book series. Her book, ‘Figley’s New Favorite Food,’ was awarded the “Mom’s Choice Gold Seal Award” and “Honorable Mention” at the Los Angeles and Pacific Rim Book Festivals. Chelsea holds a BFA in Interior Architecture & Design from the Academy of Art University and a BFA in Studio Art from Rollins College.
Larissa Bailiff, Senior Director, Education
Larissa brings strategic academic and museum experience to Boulevard Arts. For over fifteen years, she designed and facilitated educational programs at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, lecturing for adult groups and teaching in-gallery and on-line art history classes. Working at The Morgan Library & Museum for several years, she leveraged its unique space and century-spanning collection to engage K-12 students and create meaningful curricular connections. Larissa has also taught several art history and museum studies classes at Pratt Institute and the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.). She received her BA from the University of California, at Berkeley and an MA in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU.
Pebbles Russell, Senior Director, Creative
Prior to joining the Boulevard team, Pebbles started and ran Centre-fuge Public Art Project, an open-call, rotating mural project based in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Centre-fuge was accepted to participate in the New Museum’s Ideas City festival in 2013 and featured in Time Out New York, Rolling Stone, the Village Voice, and on Bloomberg TV. Before her street art endeavors, Pebbles curated, branded and put on group art shows and events in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. During her downtown tenure of creating art and art opportunities, Pebbles also taught a class at the Lower East Side Girls Club and ran programs at the BMW Guggenheim Lab on her other area of expertise- New York City culture and nightlife. Pebbles graduated with honors from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where her concentration centered on photography and the anthropological factors that shape and influence contemporary popular culture.
